Computational Fluid Dynamics were used in the design process to pinpoint areas on the X’s surface where airflow approaches transonic and supersonic speeds. Every contour and every edge of the X has been precisely defined to minimize aerodynamic friction while operating at high speeds, increasing both speed and efficiency.

The wings of the Citation X are swept back 37 degrees, more than any other business jet. Yet, it still provides exceptional stability at slower speeds.
